Inspired by the sea, this top down shawl features two-color garter stitch, intarsia, and beaded lace. The center panel represents a fishing net, covered in spray; the lace the waves; and the border the foam.

Pattern is charted only.

What you’ll need:

Color A: 1 skein (400 yds/100g) of fingering weight yarn- a subtle variegated works well for this color. I used Haldecraft Handdyed Tiptree in Why the Sea is Salt

1 size 8 (5mm) DPN (for binding off)
1 size 12 (1.00mm) steel crochet hook or other preferred tool for placing beads

Gauge is not critical for this pattern. Choose a needle size that gives you a fabric that makes you happy. However, a drastically larger or smaller gauge will affect how quickly you use up your yarn.
