Pattern and Project Ideas
Self striping yarn is great for socks, mittens, hats, baby garments, scarves and more! Here's just a few examples of what you can make with my yarn, and which stripe patterns work best.
Shetland Ruffles
(Ravelry Link)
Best with: 10 rows stripers
Linen Stitch Slouch (Rav Link)
Best with: Complex stripers with a solid heel skein for brim
Swirl Hat
Best with: Any stripe pattern
Fissility
Best with: any stripe pattern
Typhoon
Stripe Pattern: Any, but requires a full skein of contrast yarn. I have kits that include a full skein of contrast available here.
Laufmasche Socks
Stripe Pattern: Complex--you'll want to look for colorways that have a 7/3/7/3 stripe pattern to duplicate the look of the original project.
Swedish Fish
Stripe pattern: Any, but you may wish to use an even stripe or 10 row stripe to get the most solid colored fish. Shown here is the Memristor colorway paired with a full skein of solid black.
Fruit Stripe Gum
Stripe Pattern: Any
Shown here in the Cinnabar colorway with a solid yarn for cuffs, heels and toes.
Stripe Pattern: Other stripe, even width
Shown here in Luciferin in Inertia
