I named this one "Geiger" for the Geiger counter, which is used to measure ionizing radiation. Since most of the original fiesta ware used uranium in its glazes, especially the red, which was up to 14% uranium!
Stripe width will vary depending on tension and sock diameter. Stripe patterns are determined using a 64 stitch diameter with fingering weight yarn and size 2.25mm needles.
This yarn comes several ways. I've got standard skeins, tidal locked skeins, sock sets, or tidal locked sock sets, just to make it extra confusing.
TIDAL LOCKED
Tidal locked skeins were dyed wound double. They are divided into matched 50g hanks. As long as you start both balls from the same color, you should get matched socks/mitts/gloves! If the skein happened to start and end on the same color (rare, but it happens), the ends will have ribbons tied to them so you know where to start your cake.
With a Heel
Sock sets or ones listed as "with a heel" come with a 1/4 skein of semi solid dyed to match the striped skein. Use these for heels/toes, hat brims, sweater sleeve cuffs, pompoms, whatever suits your fancy!
Yarns are dyed with color fast acid dyes in a smoke free environment.

Unless otherwise stated all skeins are dyed individually, so colors will vary slightly skein to skein even if multiple skeins are listed.
Please be aware that although all of my yarns are superwash, I do not recommend machine washing. To increase the longevity of your projects, you should hand wash your finished objects in cold water with a small amount of wool wash (I prefer Eucalan) and lay flat to dry.
